Georgia has just introduced Senate Bill 375, making it the first state in the U.S. to officially recognize Hinduphobia. The bill defines it as discrimination against Hinduism and seeks to add it to anti-discrimination laws. If passed, it would allow law enforcement to treat Hinduphobia as a hate crime, but still protect free speech. The Coalition of Hindus of North America is backing this move.
