
Under the Yunus government in Bangladesh, things aren’t looking good for the Hindu minority. Reports of persecution are on the rise—everything from forced evictions and land grabs to targeted violence and outright discrimination. Temples have been vandalized, families have been threatened, and many have been forced to leave their homes. Human rights groups are sounding the alarm, accusing the government of either ignoring the situation or, worse, enabling it. Despite Bangladesh’s promises of secularism and protecting minorities, the reality on the ground tells a very different story. Now, there are growing calls for the international community to step in.
