In a decisive escalation under Operation Sindoor, the Indian government has officially confirmed that 11 key Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases were destroyed using BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles. The targets included key air infrastructure in Sargodha, Peshawar, and Multan — crippling Pakistan’s aerial strike capabilities.
This comes in response to repeated ceasefire violations, drone infiltrations, and Pakistan’s continued support for cross-border terror groups.
“These were strategic, precise, and proportionate responses to protect our sovereignty,” said a senior Indian Defence official.
Pakistan Seeks Talks as Pressure Mounts
Following the devastating strikes, Islamabad has reportedly reached out through backchannel diplomacy, urging for a ceasefire and “immediate dialogue.” However, New Delhi remains non-committal.
“Talks and terror cannot go hand in hand,” reiterated India’s External Affairs Ministry.
BSF Gets Free Hand at the Border
In a parallel move, the Border Security Force (BSF) has been granted full operational freedom to neutralize any threats at the western frontier. With heightened surveillance and open fire directives, BSF units have already foiled multiple infiltration attempts in Punjab and Jammu regions.
