In what’s being called the worst internal crisis Pakistan has faced in decades, Islamabad is now grappling with a three-front challenge — with insurgent forces from Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Indian border tightening pressure simultaneously.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has reportedly captured key areas in Quetta and is pushing for complete independence, while the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has intensified attacks in northwestern regions, targeting Pakistan Army outposts and convoys.
This internal unrest comes amid India’s ongoing Operation Sindoor, which has already disabled several Pakistani airbases and key military installations.
“Pakistan’s military is overstretched. With its own people rising up in rebellion, Islamabad has never looked more vulnerable,” said a top Indian strategic affairs analyst.
Is India Behind the Chaos?
While Pakistan’s media is busy spinning conspiracy theories, whispers within diplomatic circles hint at India possibly leveraging its intelligence assets to activate insurgent elements like the BLA. There’s also a rising wave of anti-Pakistan protests in Bangladesh, adding to the regional heat.
“Pakistan sowed the seeds of regional instability for years — now, it’s reaping the whirlwind,” commented a former Indian envoy.
