Things are getting real interesting in Bihar politics right now. It’s shaping up to be a big face-off: Prashant Kishore vs. Nitish Kumar. On one side, you’ve got Kishore—once the behind-the-scenes strategist, now out front with his Jan Suraaj movement. He’s been walking the talk, quite literally, going village to village, trying to stir up a new kind of politics that actually listens to people. And guess what? The youth seem to be really tuning in.
Then there’s Nitish Kumar—the veteran. He’s been around the block more than a few times, knows the game inside out, and still holds sway over a big chunk of the voter base, especially in rural areas. Plus, he’s backed by the JD(U)-NDA machinery, which is no small thing.
So what we’ve got here is a bit of a classic: fresh energy vs. old-school experience. Right now, Nitish has the edge—but don’t count Kishore out just yet.
