Look, we all love our teams. And for Bengaluru, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) aren’t just a cricket team — they’re an emotion. After years of heartbreak, near-misses, and loyal chants of “Ee Sala Cup Namde,” the dream finally came true. RCB lifted the IPL trophy. Goosebumps, right?
But somewhere between celebration and chaos, things took a dark turn.
What should’ve been a night of joy turned into panic, as stampede-like scenes broke out across parts of Bengaluru. Huge crowds, no crowd control, people pushing, shoving, even fainting — all in the name of celebrating cricket. Videos are circulating, and they’re painful to watch.
Is this what we’ve come to?
The line between passion and danger
We get it. Emotions run high. But when celebration starts risking lives — when people are getting injured, scared, or worse — it’s time to draw the line. No victory is worth a stampede. No team, no trophy is worth someone losing their life.
Where’s the responsibility?
- Organizers need to step up. You know how passionate this city is about RCB — so why not plan better crowd control?
- Fans — we need to stay human. Celebrate, scream, dance… but don’t trample someone just to get a selfie or a closer view.
- Authorities — these situations are predictable. Shouldn’t safety come first?
Please… celebrate responsibly
Let’s not let our joy become someone else’s nightmare. RCB made us proud — let’s show that pride with grace, not chaos.
To all fans out there: enjoy the win, but please, stay safe, stay kind, and don’t let celebration turn into tragedy.
